The food served at Essington Farm comes straight from our fields, through our kitchen and to your fork.
Our Head Chef here at Essington Farm creates a menu for every season, all our meals are made fresh from raw ingredients using our own high-quality farm produce, and other produce which is sourced locally when ours is not available. The majority of food we serve in the restaurant can be purchased in our farm shop, enabling you to enjoy a taste of Essington at home.
Meet Our Head Chef
Amanda Kellar has been appointed as our new Executive Chef. Amanda is a local lady who grew up in Bloxwich and trained at Walsall College. She has joined us after deciding to relocate back to the Midlands after an exciting working life in London and around the World.
As a newly qualified chef, Amanda worked for The Earl and Countess Spencer at Althorp House. Her career then progressed through the kitchens of several 5 Star Boutique Hotels and fine-dining restaurants. Amanda was Head Chef at the Charlotte Street Hotel W1 for five years and then continued her career managing tour catering for A-List Celebrities. She travelled around the world with the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Madonna, Lada Gaga, Rod Stewart, Lionel Ritchie, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder and many others.
After returning to London from touring around the world, Amanda worked as Head Chef at Sotheby’s Auction House Restaurant, however the charms of London life began to wane and Amanda decided to head back home to the West Midlands.
Amanda has always had a passion for traditional British cooking and her interests in ethical food production continues to grow, taking the helm at Essington Farm seems an incredibly natural next step.
We hope that all our customers, old and new, will join us in welcoming Amanda warmly to the farm.
