Enjoy proper home cooking from our fields, through our kitchen and to your fork.
The Head Chef at Essington Farm has created menus for every season. All our meals are made fresh from raw ingredients using our own farm produce or other local produce when ours is not available. Most of the ingredients can be found in the farm shop.
Our newly refurbished 130 seat restaurant is now open 9am to 4.30pm every day. We serve breakfast from 9am to 11.30am (9am-11am on Sundays). From 12 noon to 3pm we offer hot lunches, plus snacks, salads and soups all home made in the farm kitchens.
We also serve afternoon tea from 2.30pm (3pm on Sundays) to 4pm; enjoy our traditional open and finger sandwiches, mini homemade quiche, a selection of our famous in-house tray bakes, homemade mini Victoria sponge cake, homemade fruit scone with clotted cream and homemade jam, with a fresh pot of tea or coffee! (Please book for this great dining experience.)
On Sunday lunchtimes we serve a traditional Carvery roast with a selection of 3 meats plus vegetarian option and a selection of homemade sweets. We do not serve snacks on Sundays.
For Sunday lunch and large parties we strongly recommend that you book as we are usually very busy and don’t want to disappoint. For afternoon tea, bookings are necessary.

We were proud to win the “Best use of Local Produce” at the Taste of Staffordshire Good Food Awards.
Meet Head Chef David James
